History
Annabelle's Birdhouses is a home
business started in 1996. Owner/operator, Anne Farmer, has
combined functionality and "curb" appeal to produce
a line
of unique birdhouses and mailboxes that anyone would be proud
to display, either outside the home or inside the door.
Construction Details
All birdhouses and mailboxes are constructed of 1/2" plywood,
and are then nailed and glued for strength. Each house is hand painted with three
coats of exterior latex paint. Hand-split cedar shakes are affixed to the roof
with all-weather deck adhesive, and then coated with water seal. Finally,
windows are cut from the house. The holes from the cuts are filled with corrugated
plastic to give a "venetian blind" look.
